Balochistan Flood 2007

Alongside Sind, Balochistan was hit by a vicious cyclone Yemyin in 2007 which gave way to torrential rains, flash floods and displacement in at least 13 districts of the province. An estimated 2.5 million people were affected while 250,000 made homeless by this catastrophe. Kharan and Khuzdar were among the worst hit areas of the province by the incident but were unable to grab the attention of relief and rehabilitation organizations in view of the prevailing law and order situation

To fill this void, the HAI-Pak launched a special operation in these areas the details of which are given in the tabular form in the below:
