Pakistan Flood 2010

In July 2010, Pakistan was it by the worst floods in its history as approximately one-fifth (796,095 square kilometers) of its total land area was underwater. According to official estimates, the floods directly affected about 20 million people, mostly by destruction of property, livelihood and infrastructure, with a death toll of close to 2,000.

The HAI-Pak on the occasion launched a massive operation to mitigate the miseries of the people of Pakistan and was acclaimed by both national and international bodies for its services on the occasion.
