Balochistan Earthquake 2008

An earthquake of 6.4 magnitude struck Balochistan early on the morning of 29 October 2008. According to the concerned authorities, 166 people were killed and as many as 3,487 houses destroyed completely, with an additional 4,125 partially damaged. With temperatures dipping below freezing, the incident only added to the miseries of the people of the Balochistan which, was already engaged in a nagging job to defeat the monster of terrorism and sectarian killings.
