Nepal Earthquake 2015

On April 25, a devastating earthquake measuring 7.8 magnitude on the rector scale, struck Nepal, with the epicenter in Lamjung District of Kathmandu.

According to the official sources, 30 out of 75 districts in the country were badly affected by the incident, resulting into the tragic killing of around 8,000 people. A large number of people were also injured or rendered homeless.

Within 72 hours of the incident, the Human Appeal reached Nepal and started a relief operation worth 45 thousand pounds after undertaking a rapid assessment of the situation. To ensure speed and efficacy, a collaborative agreement was also signed with two local organizations HeSRA & Gogo Foundation.
